Mentorship offers participants the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with others outside of their institution/facility. Entering its third year, AUGS is expanding the mentoring program to engage a diverse group of members with a focus on building connections and guiding mentees from a variety of professional perspectives on career development topics.
The AUGS Mentoring Program offers opportunities to participate as a mentee (residents, fellows, early career members within 7 years of fellowship graduation) or mentor.
Early Career Mentee Applicants: Mentees will be assigned to small groups ("pods"). Each pod, assigned based on topics of interest and matched with an appropriate mentor, will meet virtually 3-4 times during the year based on the group's availability. Please note early career applicants must have graduated, and be within 7 years of finishing, fellowship.
Resident and Fellow Mentee Applicants: Mentorship will be provided through several scheduled presentations throughout the year designed around relevant topics related to educational milestones and career development. Fellow mentees will also have the opportunity to share their experience with residents in an informal mentoring capacity if interested.
Mentor Applicants: Share your experience and expertise as you guide upcoming urogynecologists. You may choose to participate as a “pod” facilitator for early career members (meeting virtually with the same small group 3-4 times throughout the year), and/or present during resident and fellows programming scheduled throughout the year around relevant and timely topics.
Applications will open next week. for both mentees and mentors are due by February 10, 2025.
Applications take 5-10 minutes to complete. Please email membership@augs.org with any questions.
