The Comprehensive Review Course is designed for practicing physicians and advanced practice providers, subspecialty fellows, gynecologic surgical residents, and all other learners who are searching for an opportunity to learn where we are, where we are headed in urogynecology based on the evidence. Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of the course, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe clinically relevant anatomy of the pelvis
  2. Discuss important perioperative considerations for reconstructive pelvic surgery
  3. Describe the conservative and nonsurgical management of urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse
  4. Understand the updates of surgical management for stress urinary incontinence
  5. Describe important considerations for prolapse surgery including native tissue repair, mesh augmented prolapse repairs, and hysteropexy procedures
  6. Describe unique approaches and considerations to complex cases within urogynecology
  7. Describe genitourinary congenital anatomic differences and understand their workup and management
  8. Describe the evaluation and management of gastrointestinal related pelvic floor disorders including defecatory dysfunction, fecal incontinence, postpartum perineal breakdown, and rectovaginal fistula
  9. Understand the workup and management of hematuria
  10. Describe the prevention and management of recurrent urinary tract infections
  11. Discuss the evaluation and management of interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome
  12. Describe the diagnosis and management of nocturia, nocturnal enuresis, and nocturnal polyuria
  13. Discuss newly emerging advanced therapies for overactive bladder
  14. Understand urologic considerations in reconstructive pelvic surgery
